IESB caught up with Tom Rothman to talk to him about the rumors of a DareDevil reboot and or sequel. DareDevil made $100million but for me the movie was TERRRIBLE. That said the Directors cut which just came out on DVD is fantastic. You should check it out if you have not. Tom Rothman from FOX says they still hold the full rights for DareDevil and with the right visionary they might be interested in redoing the film.
it needs a visionary at the level that Chris Nolan was. It needs someone, it needs a director, honestly, who has a genuine vision. What we wouldn't do is just do it for the sake of doing it. Right? What we try to do is to get a creative engine for it, that really had a great vision for it, that's what we would look for.
As far as who could play DareDevil one big name actor has shown some interest. Jason Statham is a bad ass and according to the LA Times he wants a piece of any potential sequel to DareDevil. Re-casting with Jason Statham would be awesome and Frank Miller has given it his own seal of approval. Not sure the studios care if Frank likes the idea, but we as fans do... make it happen!
