Barry Levine talked with MTV about the Upcoming Hercules movie and his intentions on how it will look and feel. He tells them he is not going for a TROY look but is going to head more towards the feel of 300. Frankly this makes perfect sense. An iconic hero like Hercules should be done in the style of 300 with over the top gritty carnage and visuals to match.
“It’s a whole lot darker,” says Radical president and publisher Barry Levine. He expects this version, to be produced and directed by Peter Berg, to be more “300? than “Troy” or “Alexander.”
“It’s all about taste,” Levine said. “What would have ‘300? been without Zack Snyder? He gave it a stylization. There were no stars. There didn’t need to be. If you have taste and you stay true to the concept and the characters, there’s a lot of embellishment you can do.”
Bring on the Hercules!
