According to the Hollywood Reporter FrameLight is looking to adapt a bunch of new less known comic books into feature films. The are looking to adapt Marvels Dr. Deth with Kip and Muffy. They also want a piece of IMAGE comics Dead World and Sins of the Fallen.
According to THR the thing that distinguishes them is they are not just looking to snap up the rights and do their own thing based on the paperbacks they want to involve the creators and invite them to participate in making the films. Definitely a good idea to a certain degree. The best way to stay truly TRUE to a comic is to involve its creators in the film development process. Its also important however to know when to say 'this wont work' since not every comic book translates to film exactly as it would appear on the pages. Case and point... lo at The Spirit.
