I pity the movie that goes head to head with Dark Knight and gets a bigger beating then The Joker! According to MovieTickets.com, "Dark Knight" accounted for 83 percent of online ticket sales Tuesday and 82 percent of ticket sales Wednesday as of 12 p.m. ET.
"Dark Knight" Wielding Six-Shooter
As of Tuesday, three days prior to its release, the caped crusader is currently outselling six of MovieTickets.com's Top-10 Performing Films of All-Time at the same point in the sales cycle, including:
- "The Passion of the Christ."
- "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest"
- "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers"
- "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"
- "Matrix Reloaded"
- "Spider-Man 3
