Earlier last week the Hulk 2 director did an interview with G4TV where he dropped the bombshell hint that we might just see Captain America as a cameo in the HULK 2 movie. I was shocked. Today from SOS Hollywood comes not only confirmation but an explanation of the entire sequence from the director. The director told them;
“There’s a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decide to kill himself. So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. You might have seen bits of it in some of the promos. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else’s considered to be too hard to young audiences to take, so we’ve cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America! At some point this week, we will make it available on the internet – but I cannot tell you where or when – and the material will definitely be on the DVD.”
Visit SOS Hollywood later this week for an exclusive 1 on 1 interview that will be posted for HULK 2. This is some pretty huge news and will be a huge bonus for those who buy it on DVD. Now for the problem. How do you do Captain America without screwing up the stand alone film which is being prepped for 2010? You would either have to conceal his face very carefully or make it be the captain BEFORE the super serum and try to really shroud him so that there is no continuity issues with the stand alone movie.
My thinking is that the Captain would be in ice, which is how the comic goes and HULK would see him through the ice which gives an opportunity to shroud his face. The problem with the theory is that the director says the scene was cut because it was to graphic. Which means their meeting isnt likely a friendly one. Thoughts? My thinking is it probly goes like the clip below.
