 30 Days of Night 2 is apparently going to be tossed direct to DVD depending on who you believe. Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Ghost House pictures from a variety of sources has no intentions to release 30 Days of Night 2 into theatres. When you consider the first film made less then $40million in theatres I cant say I blame them. $40million is no longer considered a box office smash hit.
The interesting point here is that Steve Niles has come out in response to the news on ShockTilyouDrop.com saying he has no idea where this came from and that the movie is NOT going direct to dvd. I think a more fair statement would be that at this point there is no discussion of it going direct to dvd. Before the movie even gets made its hard to say how it will be released.
