'Halloween Comics' the folks behind the brand new Halloween comic Night Dance that kicked a whole lot of ass has sent over word that there is gonna be a whole lot more Halloween coming and they also were nice enough to include some cool new artwork. Here is what they write;
There's lots happening in the world of Halloween Comics right now!
First up, this month brings the release of 'Sam' a free short story about Michael Myers' nemesis - Sam Loomis! This story of Sam's last days, written by Stefan Hutchinson and illustrated by Marcus Smith (who previously collaborated on 'Halloween: Autopsis') is going to be available for a limited time only, completely free as a pdf download from www.halloweencomics.com
Secondly, July brings the trade paperback of the hit series 'Halloween: Nightdance' by Stefan Hutchinson and artist Tim Seeley. This sold-out series brought back the original Shape to comic books for one of the most terrifying miniseries of 2008! On Halloween night, the lives of three teenagers from Russellville, Illinois are changed forever when Michael Myers comes to town, and not all of them will live through the night... The official retail price is $18.99 for a 144 pages of Halloween surprises, including an original short story - 'Charlie' - telling the story of Russellville's own infamous murderer, Charlie Bowles. 'Halloween: Nightdance' will be released in July, and is now available for pre-order on all major sites, including www.amazon.com
This August we're celebrating the 30 year legacy of the original film with 'Halloween - The 30th Anniversary Special' - a double-sized volume containing five short comic tales that are inspired by events and characters in the original film. In addition to The Shape, both Laurie Strode and Sam Loomis make appearances. This collector's item brings together a wealth of talented artists, such as Tim Seeley, Danijel Zezelj and horror favorite Jeff Zornow, and is available with 3 different covers in addition to an incentive cover for retailers! Cover artists include Brett Weldele, Tim Seeley and Tom Mandrake! 'Halloween - The 30th Anniversary Special' is available to pre-order NOW at all good comic shops everywhere!
Finally, in September, we have Series 2 of Halloween! This will be a new story that fills in a major story from the past. We're proud to bring to you a three part tale entitled 'Halloween: The First Death Of Laurie Strode' - set in the months following 'Halloween Ii', we will visit Laurie Strode and the citizens of Haddonfield as they try to come to terms with the events of Halloween, 1978.
