Frank Miller at the NY comic con let it be known that he is keen to direct the upcomng Hard Boiled movie because he has a really unique idea on how to do it. I assume by that he means it wont be like Sin City and The Spirit which visually appear to be the same style. At the end of the day i think it will come down to how The Spirit turns out as to whether a studio will chance letting him direct again. The comic plot goes like this;
Carl Seltz is a suburban insurance investigator, a loving husband, and devoted father. Nixon is a berserk, homicidal tax collector racking up mind-boggling body counts in a diseased urban slaughterhouse. Unit Four is the ultimate robot killing machine - and the last hope of the future's enslaved mechanical servants. And they're all the same psychotic entity.
