Show Producer talks Bionic Woman Cancellation

Posted, Thursday Mar,20

Earlier we told you that Bionic Woman on NBC had been cancelled. It is just somehow now becoming news. The producer spoke to SciFi Wire about the cancellation saying quote;

"I just felt that the process was so frustrating, and the conditions under which we were making that show never really came to fruition in such a way that I felt like we could make the show well," Eick said in an interview at SCI FI Channel's upfront presentation to advertisers in New York on March 18. "The actress [Michelle Ryan] we found was wonderful. Some of the writing was good."

The TV Guide Editors Blog are the ones that broke the story a few weeks back that the show was cancelled.;

Although NBC isn't talking, I'm told by multiple sources that Bionic staffers were informed late last week that the troubled reboot has indeed been canceled. That means no spring relaunch under new show-runner Jason Cahill — which is too bad.

Cahill's a talented guy (see: The Sopranos), and I was anxious to see what he would do with the show. But I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Did anyone watch the show? The clips did not impress me and the CG was so bad it made me think I could better spend my time buffing my Iron Man armor.
