 I had a chance to checkout a very early copy of Alien vs Predator Requiem UNRATED on DVD. The flick got a mixed bag of reviews in theatres but it comes down to what your looking for in your movie going experience. First off this film is NIGHT and day better over the first one and yes kids.. the UNRATED got its name for a reason. Their is lots of head smushing, arm ripping good fun in this one. If you dont like graphic blood and guts this movie is definitely not for you. You might want to buy the 'tamer' edition when its released.
Alien vs Predator 2 is a fun action packed scifi horror flick that just like the original Alien movies goes from 1 to 100miles an hour in no time flat. Their is action, more action and even more action. We get to see the Predator home world, the new Predalien and a whole lot of blood and carnage ( in case you missed that point earlier ).
The movie is not cinematic genius in the sense of the writing but it is what it is. A bad ass, action packed horror film with a crapload of aliens, a bad ass Predator, and a Predalien... oh and need I add a whole town caught in the middle that literally gets eaten, melted, and blown to pieces. If you can live with a somewhat weak story, in the sense that it has many plot holes, but appreciate hard core scifi action with LOTS of carnage, and gruesome gore this flick is for you. I know I enjoyed it and will definitely watch it again. Without question its 10 times better then the first one.
