Update on Robert Pattinson as New Spiderman

Awhile back the rumor hit the web that Robert Pattinson was a studio choice to play the new spiderman. Taylor Lautners name was also kicked around. Both make sense since the studio likely wants to try and draw in a younger audience not just reboot a darker and gritter spiderman.

From ETONLINE comes confirmation that SONY is focused right now on finding a director and not a star so at this time there is no truth to the Pattinson rumors.
