Emily Blunt as Black Widow in Iron Man 2?

According to Variety Emily Blunt is the front runner to play Black Widow in the upcoming Iron Man 2. For those wondering the plan is to have her play the rival not the ally. As you will recall Black Widow has been both in her long history as part of the comic-verse.

A very interesting angle would be to have her play the villain in Iron Man 2 and roll into the ally in Iron Man 3. The evil seductress turned ass kicking ally. I think it could really work and add some great ‘grit’ and ’sex appeal’ to Iron Man.
