50% of Dark Knight Ticket Sales are IMAX

According to MovieTickets.com 50% of the tickets being pre-ordered for Dark Knight are for the IMAX experience. It would seem that folks are definitely wanting to get their fandom on the IMAX way. Just to re-enforce what I have been saying about this movie being a potential explosion in the box office MovieTickets is also reporting that well over 100 performances are already sold out and the movie is still 16 days away. Can you say ChaChing?
