Brandon Routh updates Superman Man of Steel

From our friends at ScreenRant comes word that Brandon Routh expect Superman Man of Steel to go into production sooner rather then later now that the Justice League movie is as good as dead.

“I think it seems as though [the 'Justice League' movie is] not happening, it’s on the back burner right now so it’s just ‘Man of Steel’ now, I know, they’re busy writing a script and then I trust we’ll be starting next year, early next year. That’s my timeline anyway.”

According to the fine cats at IESB Bryan Singer will be directing the upcoming Superman Man of Steel movie. They spoke with a rep at Warner Brothers who announce this fact to them. Here comes the really shitty aspect. The word is that Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman are in line to write the script. These two have alot of talent but I was not at all impressed with the Transformers script which they wrote. This brings fear that Superman Man of Steel will be a big explosive adventure with no depth or character.. Are you excited for a sequel? I enjoyed the first one but frankly I dont really have the un-dieing need for a sequel.
